I have a huge canvas sitting at home asking me to paint on it and for once in my life I am a little intimidated if I’m being totally honest.
But why should I feel intimidated; at the end of the day it’s just a piece of thick paper mounted onto a wooden frame!
I guess one reason is because that silly little voice at the back of my head is saying “What if you go wrong and hate it?” Well shut up little annoying voice!!! How can I go wrong when its ART?
I need to stop being afraid of what could go wrong and focus on what could go right.
Art is whatever you want it to be, it has no limitations, it is what it is. And so what if no one else likes it, as long as you are happy then that is all that matters.
Release your creativity; whether it be painting on a canvas, or doodling on the corner of a book, or sculpting something, or writing a poem.
It is producing works to be appreciated for their beauty and emotional power.
So go release your creative side! And feel free to send us a picture of whatever you’ve created at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will feature it in our next blog.
